The Pro D Committee will give first priority for funding to applicants who did not receive funding in the previous school year.
Funding is limited and is not guaranteed.
All dues-paying members of the GVTA (contract teachers and TTOCs alike) are entitled to access funds from the Joint GVTA/GVSD Pro-D Fund.

Conference/Workshop/Non-credit Course
Travel, breakfast, dinner, and accommodation are not funded for Pro D activities within the Capital Regional District, with the exception of the Gulf Island.
Professional Book Club.
All funding for 2025-26 has been allocated. No additional applications for Teacher as Researcher will be accepted. All participants must submit an application before the application will be reviewed.
Teacher as Researcher.
All funding for 2025-26 has been allocated. No additional applications for Teacher as Researcher will be accepted. (members can apply once every five years)
Collaborative Planning. All funding for 2025-26 has been allocated. No additional applications for Teacher as Researcher will be accepted. All participants must submit an application before the application will be reviewed.
Financial Assistance is also available for Professional Development activities organized by Local Specialist Associations (LSAs) and at school sites.

Applications for PD activities during July, August, and the first 15 days of September are due by June 15th.
PD Funding applications submitted for Pro D activities in July and onward are funded in the new school year, July 1-June 30, and will begun being reviewed in May.
