College & Career Readiness

While at GVSMS, students begin exploring their interests and what careers interest them. The counselors help them with this process by going into their classes and presenting career lessons through the use of Missouri Connections. Below are some of the topics that are covered:

  • Learning the career paths and clusters
  • Taking an interest inventory
  • Exploring a variety of careers that match the results of their interest inventory
  • Employability skills

Parents/Guardians can go to the Missouri Connections website and log in as a guest to view information on student assessments and interest inventories, occupations, education, financial aid, scholarships, and employment.
