We have spent half of this month under quarantine and have had to adjust our way of everyday life. I have been coping by taking some time to not look at a computer and try to get outside or be with family. I use exercise to be my thinking time and being with family to be my relax time. It is so important during these days of uncertainty for everybody (including students) to get outside and still have some human interaction daily! I know there are so many struggles with all of this, whether it is lack of internet, or accommodations being met. All you can do during this time for your students or family is let them know you are here and willing to work around any struggle or difficulty they are having. I have been extremely flexible and kind to every student. This online learning has allowed some students that were struggling and behind in class to catch up! It has been awesome watching students thrive during this time, some students that would do nothing in class can now work at their own pace and are loving it! However, there have also been challenges. The main big question is, how to get every student involved? Although some students are thriving there are still many that are not participating. It is hard because I have no idea if it is laziness or lack of technology/internet. There are still a couple students I have completely not heard from since Spring Break!
