In French we have integrated a range of strategies into the lesson structure and delivery to support the inclusion of all learners within learning. This ensures that all of the children at Gurnard Primary School receive a broad and balanced curriculum that is suitable to the needs of all.
Photos 1 and 2 show children (Year 3 & 4) greeting each other in French as part of the C'est moi topic and children miming and practising the pronunciation of verbs (Lire = to read) as part of La Rentrée topic.

European Day of Languages
Each year on 26th September, we celebrate the European Day of languages. We have a number of children in the school who speak an additional language at home and it is a great opportunity to celebrate language and culture. For the most part the languages chosen for this year are represented by a member in each class.

Photos 6 and 7 show year 5 finding out about Germany and learning to count in German and year 6 finding out about Italy and learning some greetings in Italian.
