Planning

Learning is planned to ensure good progression across the subject. Long Term Planning grids show the learning that will be taking place throughout the year and demonstrate the clear and consistent learning paths that pupils will follow.

In Maths, lessons are planned using the mastery approach through the 'small steps' approach from White Rose.  This approach has been designed to build-up mathematical concepts and processes. The Concrete-Pictoral-Abstract approach forms an integral part of the learning process.
