Progression Maps

The English Curriculum at Gurnard has been carefully planned to develop children's knowledge and skills across year groups. Through careful mapping, we have ensured that children are given the understanding that they will need to make progression in the various areas of the English curriculum. Progression in skills have been mapped following the National Curriculum in Reading, Writing, Phonics, Spelling and Speaking and Listening.

There is an expectation that skills in English will be practised and embedded across all other subject areas.
