Inspiration
At age 11 I was hospitalized with ketosis caused by my anxiety from the transition to middle school from elementary. While in the hospital I was given an MRI and I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation Type II. My doctors at the time brought the brain scan to my hospital room and explained my diagnosis. Since then I have wanted to research the brain and my diagnosis and if it may be the cause of my anxiety.
As a student of the science research course at GHS I have had the opportunity to read and analyze scholarly articles abut the malformation and this has fueled my interest to continue my studies in Neuroscience and Psychology after I graduate from GHS.
