FSU IP has over 60 years of experience in international education, and we are nationally recognized leaders in the field of study abroad. Students can study with us during any semester of their academic career, or they may pursue an internship abroad. We offer a variety of programs in different locations around the world, including year-round study centers in London, England; Florence, Italy; Panama City, Republic of Panama; and Valencia, Spain. You can learn more about what we offer through our brochure here.
FSU IP also offers a study abroad program for first-time college freshmen which allows students to start their college experience abroad. Our First Year Abroad (FYA) program gives students the opportunity to spend their first 12 months of college experiencing a culture unlike their own, using the host city as their classroom. IP is ranked in the top 5 study abroad programs for long-term duration. These programs also give students the opportunity to earn an in-state tuition waiver upon successful completion of the program. You can learn more about this program and the waiver in our booklet.
FSU was one of just four institutions to receive the 2017 Senator Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization recognizing U.S. colleges and universities making substantial progress toward comprehensive internationalization. We are also currently ranked 11th in the nation for the number of students sent abroad each year. Our office is committed to providing a quality international learning environment where students are challenged to be learners, leaders, achievers, and contributors within a global community.
High school graduates who seek a self-reflection opportunity before fully deciding on and entering into college have a new alternative through Rochester Institute of Technology.
The RIT European Post-High School Semester program is designed for graduating high school seniors that may want to take a pause before going to college fulltime. Ian Mortimer, vice president for Enrollment Management and associate provost for RIT Certified, said that group may include those that want to improve their college credentials from a COVID-impacted senior year, those that love to travel but have had limited recent opportunities, and those with an interest in learning how to properly conduct college-level research.
The Post-High School Semester in Europe page will cover all the details.

S’mae! Welcome to Study in Wales.
At Universities Wales, we work with the eight Welsh universities to promote opportunities for students from the US to study with us in the UK.
The location - it’s gorgeous, it has easy travel links, and a stellar affordable quality of life. The university study - which is shorter and more focused; and the cost – it's way cheaper to study in Wales than the US.
In Wales we’re committed to helping students in their coming-to-college-process, and even more now in these unique times.
Wales is a super affordable place to live and study. Most of our degrees’ tuition starts at around the $14,000-$18,000 USD a year mark, with lots of options for scholarships, FAFSA funding, and paid work. Plus, with the low cost of living Wales is known for, this can be a wonderful place for an affordable, academic adventure.
Please click for our introductory episode about studying in Wales from the US – how it works, the application process, the costs, and info on scholarships and FAFSA. You’ll also see a conversation with two USA champions from last year’s guidance counsellor tour – Dafna Adler a high school counsellor from CA and Sharon Harris an independent consultant in NH.
Join the Welsh universities at 11am EST, 8am PST for a drop in cafe. Bring a panad (cup of tea) and any questions you have about studying in the UK.
