1. Expectations 0-3 months (November 4) 

It’s important to understand milestones because they help you know if your baby is on track with growth and development. As your baby grows and develops, they will learn certain skills that build upon others to help them learn to walk, talk, think, and get along with people like you and I do. You’ll notice that milestones fall within a range of ages. That’s because each child is unique and develops at their own pace. You can easily help your child develop their skills by simply loving and playing with them. Y 

2. Expectations 3-6 months (November 11th)

From birth to one year, your baby develops certain skills in order to be ready for their second year. These skills are categorized into normal expected age ranges. This helps you know if your baby is on track; but remember, they are just general guidelines. What is most important is to go to all of your baby’s well visits at two months, four months, six months, nine months, and one year. Since you know your baby best, you should bring up any discrepancies with your provider that you notice between your baby and the milestone guidelines.1 

3. Expectations 6-9 months (November 18) 

Everything your baby does shows how well their brain is developing. Researchers have discovered that a newborn’s brain grows about 1 percent EACH DAY in the first three months after birth. That’s a lot of growth in so short a time! They’ve also discovered that a baby’s brain doubles in size by their first year! By the time they’re three, their brain is 80 percent the size of yours! Their brain really is the command center! It controls big and small movements, language and communication, emotions—EVERYTHING, really. 

4. Expectations 9-12 months (November 25)

From birth, your baby’s brain has grown, changed, and developed as a result of all of their experiences and interactions—good and bad. This includes the relationship they have with you and their family, the love and care you give them, and their expanding understanding of their world. And the most critical time for this is in their first few years. During this time, you will want to strictly limit electronic use for your child.

1. Expectativas sobre el nino 0-3 meses  (Noviembre 4 y 6)

Es importante entender los logros porque la ayudan a saber si su bebé va por un buen camino en su crecimiento y desarrollo. Mientras su bebé crece y se desarrolla, aprenderá ciertas habilidades que se apoyan sobre otras para ayudarlo a caminar, hablar, pensar y relacionarse con las personas como lo hacemos usted y yo. Notará que los logros se encuentran dentro de un rango de edades. Eso se debe a que cada niño es único y se desarrolla a su propio ritmo. Puede ayudar a su niño de manera fácil a desarrollar sus habilidades simplemente amándolo y jugando con él. Su hijo alcanza mejor sus logros al interactuar con usted y otros. 

2. Expectativas sobre el nino 3-6 meses ( Noviembre 11 y13)

Desde el nacimiento hasta el año, su bebé desarrolla ciertas habilidades para estar listo para su segundo año. Estas habilidades se clasifican en rangos de edad normales esperados según la edad. Esto le ayuda a saber si su bebé va por buen camino; pero recuerde, son solo pautas generales. Lo más importante es ir a todas las visitas de control de su bebé a los dos meses, cuatro meses, seis meses, nueve meses y un año. Como usted conoce mejor a su bebé, usted debe plantear cualquier discrepancia con su proveedor que observe entre su bebé y las pautas de hitos. 

3.  Expectativas sobre el nino 6-9 meses   (Noviembre 18 y 20)

Todo lo que hace su bebé muestra que tan bien se está desarrollando su cerebro. Los investigadores han descubierto que el cerebro de un recién nacido crece aproximadamente un 1 por ciento CADA DÍA en los primeros tres meses después del nacimiento. ¡Eso es mucho crecimiento en tan poco tiempo! ¡También descubrieron que el cerebro de un bebé duplica su tamaño en su primer año! ¡Para cuando tienen tres años, su cerebro es un 80 por ciento del tamaño del suyo! ¡Su cerebro realmente es el centro de comando! C 

  Expectativas sobre el nino 9-12 meses   (Noviembre 25) 

Desde el nacimiento, el cerebro de su bebé ha crecido, cambiado y desarrollado como resultado de todas sus experiencias e interacciones — buenas y malas. Esto incluye la relación que tienen con usted y su familia, el amor y la atención que se les brinda, y su creciente comprensión de su mundo. Y el momento más crítico para esto es en sus primeros años. Durante este tiempo, querrá limitar estrictamente el uso de dispositivos electrónicos con su hijo.
