Steve Alguire is on his 18th year teaching and teaches Advanced Band, Beginning Band, Percussion Class, Jazz Ensemble, and Orchestra. Mr. Alguire holds a bachelors degree in instrumental music education from The Ohio State University and a Masters in Arts in Band Conducting from Sam Houston State University. During his time at Ohio State he sat as the Principal Saxophone in the Wind Symphony and also played Horn as a secondary instrument in the University Band. Mr. Alguire was also a five year member of the Ohio State Marching Band playing Mellophone in R-Row. Mr. Alguire recently played Alto and Tenor Saxophone in the musical “Happy Days” for the Creative Stages Youth Theatre. Mr. Alguire has also guest conducted the Glendale Elementary District Honor Band. Mr. Alguire is a member of Arizona Band and Orchestra Directors Association as well as the Arizona Education Association.
