Q: Is band camp mandatory?
A: We are learning vital things including movement 1 of the show, and it can be overwhelming for students to catch up if they miss. Please make every effort to attend.
Q: Do I sign up for band camp?
A: Nope, just show up.
Q: Is there a cost for band camp?
A: No
Q: What is the schedule?
A: (2 weeks July 20-24 and July 27-31) from 3pm - 9
Q: What if there is a problem with my schedule and I am not currently in a band class, should I still attend camp?
A: Yes! If you will be attending Sunnyslope and intend to be in marching band, you should definitely attend band camp. Mr. Alguire will be working with counselors to get schedules fixed. They are on their well-deserved summer break and may not respond immediately. But don't worry, we will fix it before school starts.
Q: Is there a cost to band camp?
A: Nope
Q: What do students bring?
A: Just their instrument and a water bottle.
Q: What do I do if I need a school instrument?
A: Show up on the first day a little early and we can sign one out to you. (limited supply) School instruments must stay at Sunnyslope until the first week of school.
Q: What is the attire?
A: Dress for the weather, it is hot! We will be inside for the first part but will be outside from 7pm-9. Wear athletic apparel.
Q: What do students do for dinner?
A: Band boosters provide dinner in the cafeteria at 6pm. Students are not permitted to leave campus.
