Per the West-MEC website, Western Maricopa Education Center (West-MEC) is a public school district which provides career training programs for both high school and adult students in Arizona. West-MEC focuses solely on innovative career and technical education programs that prepare students to enter the workforce and pursue continuing education.
Every student who completes a program has the opportunity to test for licensure or certification.
Typically, you apply either your Sophomore or Junior year for entrance into a West-MEC program. Applications are usually due at the end of 1st semester and acceptance decisions are made in January/February. Please click HERE to see program specifics.
