Karen Nylund-Lieb has a long history in theatre and film as a director, performer, dramaturg, and educator. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Film Studies and a Minor in American History, after which she moved to London for a work abroad program. She then moved to LA and worked as a producer’s assistant at Artist's Management Group and as Story Editor for Leonardo DiCaprio's production company Appian Way. She returned to school for a Masters in Theatre Arts and Directing from CSU Sacramento and worked as an Artistic Associate for Beyond the Proscenium Productions in Sacramento, CA. Her directing credits include Chicago: Teen Edition, Clue on Stage, Mamma Mia!, A Piece of my Heart, The Addams Family, Noises Off, Into The Woods, Dracula: A Comic Thriller Starring Shirley Holmes and Jennie Watson, It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, Seussical, 12 Incompetent Jurors, Nine Parts of Desire, The Afghan Women, Homebody, and New Anatomies.
