Youths are at the stage of developing, and their brains will not be fully developed until the age of 25. This is why they are still considered adolescents. Therefore, the frontal cortex does not develop until 25 as well, so teens are at risk for making risky and bad decisions. Vaping affects the part in the brain that controls attention and learning. It also effects the connections built between brain cells such as learning. Addiction is a form of learning, so when youths vape before their brains are fully developed they can get addicted quicker than adults. Evidence shows that electronic cigarettes are linked to use of other substances.
