ELD

ELD is for students who need support in their English classes. Students in this class designate another language other than English as their first language. Students are encouraged to read, write, learn new vocabulary, and speak in English on a daily basis to help them develop necessary skills to be successful in their other core classes. Students at the "Expanding" Level have already been exposed to English and taken classes where English is the primary language but still need skills development and support. It is my goal for every student in this class to master the necessary skills to be successful in the next level of ELD and eventually exit out of the ELD Program and become redesignated as English Proficient.
