Chromebook Troubleshooting

Internet Access Assistance

📚 Checking out a library book:  You can come into the library to browse and check out a library book, or you can use Destiny Discover to search for a book and even put it on hold to pick up at another time. Books are on loan for 3 weeks at a time, but you can renew as often as needed.

🖨️ Printing:  We have a printing station for student use. Students will need their Chromebooks to connect directly to the printer.

🔒Passwords: We are able to reset your Google password for your Chromebook, but we are NOT able to reset your Infinite Campus password. For help with Infinite Campus, call (619) 956-4357

🛜 WiFi Issues: There is a WiFi connection station to reconnect your Chromebook to our school WiFi but we do NOT have a WiFi password for you to use on a non-school issued device.

💻 Chromebook Issues: If you are experiencing problems, please check HERE first.

  • Won’t turn on: Plug in and push POWER and REFRESH at the same time for a couple seconds.

  •  Keyboard problems: If some letters aren’t working and you are not at school, you can use your on-screen keyboard by clicking on the bottom right corner of your Chromebook, then choose Accessibility, then choose on screen keyboard. From there, a keyboard icon will appear at the bottom of your screen. You can click on it and then use your trackpad to choose the keys you need. You can also try a power wash to reset your keyboard. Once you are on campus, stop by the library and let us fix it or take it in for repair. You will be issued a loaner while yours is being repaired.

  • Loaners: We do not give out daily loaner computers. If your Chromebook isn’t working, stop by for a repair loaner to use until yours is fixed. If your Chromebook is lost, come get a form to get signed at home, then come back to get a new one once we have a parent/guardian signature.

  • Repairs: Cracked screen? Broken hinges? Turn in your Chromebook to get repaired and you will receive a loaner to use while yours is being repaired, which could take a couple weeks. Repairs will be charged to your account, unless you have purchased Chromebook Insurance, which we highly recommend you purchase! Please note: The last day to purchase insurance for the 2025-26 school year is September 26th. *Chromebook insurance does NOT cover intentional damage or excessive repairs.
