Emergency Shelters provide a temporary or transitional place to stay for newcomers, people who are in crisis, or homeless individuals in the community. Click on the links below for more information.
Transitional Housing/Shelters are programs that provide extended shelter and supportive services primarily for homeless individuals and/or families with the goal of helping them live independently and transition into permanent housing. Some programs require that the individual/family be transitioning from a short-term emergency shelter.
There are apartment complexes that offer rental prices at below-market rates. While most of these rental units have a waiting list, the waiting lists are typically much shorter than subsidized housing waiting lists.
