WHY THE BUDGET ISSUE?

• State funding in Greenwich Township School District has decreased $2.1M over the past 5 years - our enrollment is not growing as fast as other areas. State money shifted away.  When the state cuts funding, it is because they do not think the residents of Greenwich are paying their "FAIR SHARE".  

• Minimal tax increases for the Township

• Limited school tax increase over the past 10 years. 

• Limited business ratables, and lower taxes on those businesses

• Extensive rise in costs i.e. Transportation, Tuition, Required Services
