Resources
Gateway uses many programs to carry out our day-to-day functions and because instructors may use them infrequently it can sometimes be difficult to remember where to go for things like absences or expense reports. This section contains links to the programs you will need to access from time to time in order to centralize them and make them a little easier for you to find. If there's something missing here and you'd like to see it added, please reach out to Jessica Gleason (gleasonj@gtc.edu) or Meg Hunter (hunterma@gtc.edu).
Course Evaluations - Contact Stephanie Slater (slaters@gtc.edu) with questions about Course Evaluations.
If you're an adjunct instructor, you may want to check out our adjunct website instead.

The Class Roster Early Alert application with Brightspace/MyGateway lets faculty submit alerts for students in their current courses. Alerts trigger automated messages or personal outreach, ensuring students receive the right support and resources at the right time.
Professional Development
Gateway offers many venues for professional development, including funding for things like conferences, expos, and trade shows. Here is information on what kind of opportunities you can purse along with how to apply for funding.
Perhaps you're interested in pursuing your education further? Gateway also offers tuition reimbursement.
You may also consider alternative delivery training if you'd like to teach courses in an online or hybrid format of some kind.
SPOT (self-paced online training) courses were designed by the Teaching & Learning team to provide you with an opportunity for self-paced professional development on both Teaching Methods and Technology. The topics are varied, but if you see something you're interested in learning about that does not already have a course, please reach out and we can put something together for you.
Teaching Resources
While this is not all-inclusive, these resources can certainly help you gain your footing, especially if you're new to teaching. You'll find that being an educator is a process of trial and error to learn what works for you and what works for your students, and your practices will likely change over time. Keep working! Keep growing! Reach out to other instructors or your chair for guidance.
