Hello! My name is Mrs. Franceschi. This year I will be having your students for Math, Spelling, and Science. Students will switch classes and have Mrs. Meyer for Reading, Language, and Social Studies.
In Math this year, we will be studying a variety of topics. We started out with place value then moving into addition and subtraction. Please practice multiplication facts. It will help out tremendously if the students know them. If you practice 5 min a night it will make a difference. We will focus on problem solving and explaining how we solve problems this year. Your children can use Reflex, Pearson, and Canvas at the ASD website.
In Spelling this year, the students will have 20 words and occasionally there will be a challenge word and a couple sentences.
I use the remind app to keep communication with families and let you know of what is coming up for quizzes and tests and school happenings. Let me know if you have not joined yet and I will send you an invitation. I also send home a weekly test schedule of what is coming up and post on remind as well.

Some of the topics we will be studying are: life, earth, space, and physical science
lab safety, scientific method, plants and animals, adaptations, clouds and weather, simple machines, sun and moon
We will complete some STEM activities as well.
