Building Active Leaders

Building Active Leaders is one of our Academy opportunity here at Dr. Brass.

We believe all students have capacity to be leaders within our school and community. Students are given opportunities to plan for and engage in leadership opportunities throughout the year. Physical activity, health and well being are focuses of our daily programming.

In the Building Active Leaders Academy you will:

Develop skills to be physically and mentally healthy, build your self-confidence, develop leadership skills, and explore your passions!
Explore leadership and learning opportunities outside the traditional classroom.
Experience fitness, health and kindness related opportunities.
Organize and plan school activities such as: assemblies, haunted house, carnival, field trips, Christmas Store, biking in the community.

Meet the instructoR

MRS. Juliana Kindiak

Juliana Kindiak graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Education degree specializing in Middle Years. Over the past decade, she has worked in the division, teaching in both Kamsack and Yorkton. In 2020, Juliana established the Building Active Leaders academy with a focus on fostering collaborations within the City of Yorkton and empowering students to take on leadership roles within our school community and beyond.

Juliana resides in Yorkton with her husband, Nathan, and their son, Rylan.
