The HCSA program is designed to help enhance a player's self confidence, playing skills and self esteem in both academics and athletics. On ice sessions will focus on skill development including skating, passing, shooting, puck control, and small area games. On ice sessions will be three times a week. On ice sessions run from September until April. Once the temperatures get nice in April, students are off to the golf course where they get a golf membership and learn how to golf.
Off ice sessions will be a combination of hockey related fitness activities, floor ball skills and multi- sport training that fits with Hockey Canada's Long Term Athlete Development Model. Off ice sessions will occur on opposite days of on ice training.

Prior to MC Knoll, he taught in the communities of Canora and Hudson Bay. I\He graduated high school in Melville and later attended university in Brandon, Manitoba.
Hockey has been a significant part of his life. He was fortunate to play at the Junior A level, and now enjoys being involved in the game as a coach. Through the Yorkton Minor Hockey program, he has had the opportunity to learn alongside many outstanding coaches and build valuable relationships within the community.
He is excited to join the Hockey Academy at Dr. Brass School! He looks forward to the learning, development, and growth of every individual in the program, both on and off the ice. His passion and goal for the hockey academy is built around creating a positive, hardworking, and supportive environment where every student-athlete has the opportunity to improve their skills, build confidence, and develop a strong passion for the game of hockey. As a teacher and coach, his goal is to help each player grow not only as an athlete, but also as a teammate, student, and leader. He will focus on effort, respect, accountability, teamwork, and maintaining a positive attitude every day. Success will be measured by improvement, character, and the habits we build together throughout the year. Players will be encouraged to compete, challenge themselves, support one another, and enjoy the process of development. He believes that when athletes feel supported, motivated, and confident, they perform at their best while helping create a strong team culture. Scott looks forward to working with all of you and making this a rewarding and memorable experience.
