Finding Sources

Where do I find Sources?

There are a number of places where you can locate sources. Where you look will depend on your project. Some common sources are:

• Books,
• Library Catalog,
• Encyclopedias (print and online),
• Online Databases,
• People who are experts on the subject, and
• the Internet.

Your teacher might tell you that you need specific types of sources. Your assignment might require, for example, 2 books and 2 online resources. In this case you need to make sure that your sources fulfill your instructor's requirements. If you are not sure about requirements for sources, check your assignment document, or check with your classroom teacher to make sure you are fulfilling their requirements.
