Another Week of Fun!
We had a fun second week of EIPK as we continue to settle into the routine of going to school. I still do not have the green light from central office to post pictures on the blog, but once all the verification forms have been processed, I promise to share all the cute pictures of the fun we have been having in here! In the meantime, check out how cute our art wall is becoming. Please note, in EIPK, participating in most art and craft activities is optional, so if your child has not chosen to make anything as of yet, that is totally okay!

More Pete the Cat!
We had so much fun with Pete the Cat, we had to bring him back for another week! This week we read Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy Buttons. This simple story introduces students to numbers and the concept of subtraction. Students also had the opportunity to make Pete's shirt and glue some buttons on it as well!

We also enjoyed reading this comical book on Thursday. This story had the students laughing and reading aloud with the main chorus, "Sorry ___ (Mommy, Daddy, etc.). You can't go to school. Only kids and teachers. Only kids and teachers."

Terry Fox Walk
Terry Fox Walk
Robina Baker School will be having a Terry Fox Walk on Wednesday, September 25th. The Early Intervention Pre-Kindergarten students will participate by first learning a little bit about Terry Fox, and then engaging in a little run around the school yard (we will be staying on school property and within the fenced school yard). If you would like to support the Terry Fox Foundation, our school is collecting "Toonies for Terry." You are welcome to send a toonie to school this day if you are interested.

We will be having TWO orange shirt days here in EIPK. Once on Thursday, September 26th so our four-year-olds can participate, and again on Friday, September 27th when the rest of our school has orange shirt day. Wear orange to show your part as we work together towards reconciliation.

- September 25th - Terry Fox Walk (send a toonie to support the Terry Fox Foundation if you wish)
- September 26/27th - Orange Shirt Day
- We will have orange shirt day two times so our four year olds can have a chance to participate! EIPK will wear orange on BOTH Thursday, September 26th, and Friday, September 27th
- September 30th - National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (No School)
