Our superhero week was too fun to end after the first week. We had to bring the super-joy for one more week! We also participated in hats on for mental health day on Wednesday!
On Monday we introduced our four-year-olds to a new game, bingo! This superhero bingo was super tricky! But getting a bingo was very exciting!
Because every good superhero needs a proper uniform, we had a cuff making station open this past week. Many students worked hard to create cool super hero cuffs!
The superhero puppet making station was a big hit, you will see many little superheroes coming home in backpacks over the next week.
We made a bar graph on Wednesday to find out which super hero we liked the most... This simple activity is a great introduction to graphing, counting, sorting, and so many other early numeracy skills!
Superhero Obstacle Course!
In the gym we set up an obstacle course and challenged the students to carry superhero stuffies while they worked hard to go over, under, and around different obstacles! Obstacle courses are an easy way to get children moving and having fun while they strengthen their gross motor skills.
On Friday our three-year-olds had the opportunity to participate in a superhero scavenger hunt. They loved searching the hallways to find the lost heroes and this activity was perfect for expanding our vocabularies and learning new superhero words.
