What a busy last week we had, packing in as much fun as we could. We counted down to summer with one fun activity planned for each day of school. The students got to look in our countdown tubes to discover what activity was planned for each day as we counted down. Thank you to all of our EIPK families for helping your children have a great last week of school by driving them to our field trip, sending extra clothes for water day, and giving them a big bath after our messy art day!
Our four-year-olds snuck up to the kindergarten room for one last visit on Monday. There was a buzz of excitement in the air as our four-year-olds get ready to head to kindergarten in the fall.
On Monday, our countdown activity was to head outside and go on a bug hunt. I was surprised how long the four-year-olds stayed engaged in this activity. They hunted high and low, but sadly we just couldn't find all the bugs on our list!
We Rock the Spectrum Kid's Gym!
On Tuesday, we put our physical skills to the test by heading to We Rock the Spectrum Kid's Gym for our end of the year field trip. This exciting day was packing with zip lining, imaginative playing, climbing, swinging, and snacking. Thanks again to all of our parents and guardians for taking the time to drive their children to and from this field trip, and also for staying with us, embracing your inner child, and playing with all of the cool things.
Our little Picasso's really got into the messy art on Tuesday. Thank you to all of our parents and guardians for embracing the mess as children went home with painted faces, hands, and even hair! It was all squeals and giggles as we let the students be free to create and get messy with a variety of art supplies.Â
We ended the week with our last fun activity, outdoor water play. The students loved being able to dump, pour, make ponds, water the grass, and be free outside on this day. This laid back activity was the perfect ending to our week of very busy fun!
It's hard to believe our school year has come to an end. I can't thank each and every one of you enough for working with me and my EIPK team to support your children as they develop and grow. From joining me for IPP meetings, to packing snacks and getting your children to school each day, I know being a parent is a lot of work and can be trying at times, but you are all rocking it and I appreciate each and everyone of you! For those of you who are moving on to kindergarten, I wish you all the best, be sure to say hello in the hallways! And for those of you who will be with me again in the fall, have the very best summer! I absolutely adore each and every one of your children and they will all be so very missed. Take care.
