Students deepen their understanding of the branches of government by developing a script and creating a screencast.
Students will create a website that includes party platforms and philosophies on different issues, then examine and create negative and postitive political advertisements.
Students will research a lobby group and determine its impact, then create their own lobby group for a current issue, deciding on which government department and minister they should contact.
Students will create a flyer that outlines the role of an organization or information about an aspect of the justice system (i.e., jury duty, knowing the law, advocacy, John Howard Society, Elizabeth Fry Society
Students will research and gather evidence in groups on a particular environmental issue that they are currently facing within their community. Groups will then create a video that displays their learning on the selected topic and discuss how government decisions impact this topic and their quality of life.
