If a Lea student wishes to participate in 1 or more EC Clubs, they must complete this Enrollment Form!
8:00 – 8:05 am
EC Clubs start at 8:00 am and run until the school day starts at 9:00 am.
Parents/guardians must drop off their student in the Small Schoolyard on Locust Street no earlier than 8:00 am. The EC Club sponsor will meet their students in the Small Schoolyard and escort them to their classroom.
8:05 – 8:55 am
Sponsor facilitates EC Club with students.
If a student wishes to get a breakfast meal from the cafeteria, the student will be sent by their sponsor with a pass to the cafeteria at 8:30 am. The student should pick up their breakfast meal and bring it back to their EC Club classroom to eat it. The EC Club sponsor must ensure that each student who eats breakfast in the classroom cleans up after themselves.
8:55 - 9:00 am
The sponsor leads students to the appropriate schoolyard (big or small) for arrival and the start of the school day, which occurs promptly at 9:00 am.
3:40 – 3:50 pm
The school day ends at 3:39 pm, and EC Clubs begin at 3:40 pm and end at 5:00 pm.
Students report to the classroom of their club sponsor at the end of the school day.
Students sign-in with their club sponsor.
3:50 – 4:50 pm
Sponsor facilitates EC Club with students.
If the students wish to receive an after-school meal, their sponsor must:
Email the UACS After-School Program director, Ms. Arttia (arttiaw@sas.upenn.edu), with the names of students in their club who wish to receive a meal.
Bring their students to the cafeteria after they sign in to pick up a meal from UACS staff to eat in the EC Club classroom.
4:50 - 5:00 pm
Sponsor leads students to the school’s 1st floor hallway outside the Visitor Entrance for dismissal.
Students sign-out with their sponsor. After signing-out:
Students who have permission to walk home without a parent/guardian or take public transportation must exit the building from the Visitor Entrance on Locust Street.
Students who are picked up by parents/guardians must wait in the 1st floor hallway with the sponsor until their parent/guardian arrives to sign them out and take them home.
Students who are enrolled in––or have siblings enrolled in––the UACS after-school program CANNOT attend the UACS program on the same day they attend an EC Club, and therefore must be picked up by their parent/guardian from the sponsor. Such students CANNOT be left with UACS staff, as the sponsor is responsible for the child that day, not UACS.
EC Club sponsors and students are required to follow all of the School District of Philadelphia’s health and safety protocols: https://www.philasd.org/studenthealth/health-and-safety-protocols/.
Students that sign up for EC Clubs can also participate in the UACS After-School Program but cannot attend the UACS After-School Program on the same day that they attend an EC Club.
We want our students to take advantage of different opportunities and programs, and so students who sign up for and participate in EC Clubs can also participate in the UACS After-School Program, and vice versa.
However, in order to maintain the health and safety of students, families, and staff, any students that attend an EC Club are not permitted to attend the UACS After-School Program on the same day, and therefore are required to go home at the end of the EC Club that day.
