Small groups provide students with the opportunity to develop and practice new skills, as well as build supportive and positive relationships. Small group topics vary and are determined by current need and data, but may include social and friendship skills, anger management, anxiety, divorce/separation, emotion regulation, and organizational and study skills.
A permission slip is required to join a small counseling group.
Individual counseling is provided on a short-term basis and is available for all students. Students may benefit from individual counseling for a variety of reasons, such as anxiety, stress, family changes, grief, friendships or peer difficulties, study skills. etc.
Classroom lessons are delivered to all students and address academic success, social and emotional development, and college and career readiness.
School Counselors work alongside parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, and community stakeholders to support student achievement and to promote equity and access for all students.
Support for students and families to school or community resources for additional assistance and information. This may include mental health counseling, crisis support, or case management.
