Welcome to Basha High School's official website for our theatre department! On this website you can find information on our offering of classes, our two after school clubs, as well as our open call for productions where anyone can join!. We do our best to provide an opportunity to any student to explore their theatrical ability both on the stage or behind the scenes. Break a leg!
During the end of the 23'-24' school year, our longstanding theatre teacher of over 20 years, Ms. Schwartz, sustained a medical injury that did not allow her to continue her role at Basha for the '24-'25 school year. We started that school year with a interim sub for the first quarter for the school year, until gaining Mr. Abaroa as an interim teacher for the rest of the '24-'25 school year. We are grateful to announce that we now have a full-time theatre teacher, Mr. Latham, to head our Basha Theatre department! To find out more about our new teacher check out our About our Teacher page! Through the last few years, our student department heads had to take on a more active role in running our theatre programs and keep out theatre department as a whole afloat. Basha Theatre has grown under the pressure of these challenges and cannot wait to flourish under the new guidance of Mr. Latham! We ask students, family, and friends to be patient as our department continues to go through this longstanding period of change as we find the balance between upholding Basha Theatre tradition and welcoming new starts!
