Parents will receive a letter from me in the spring noting when their child(ren) will have lessons to develop their knowledge and skills for protecting themselves from unsafe situations, both in and out of the classroom.
Protective Behavior lessons typically take place during the end of April and the beginning of May. It is helpful for families to continue these conversations around safety frequently. Such as; have a back-up plan if your child comes home off of the bus, and no one is home. Create a meeting place when you go to games, parks, stores, etc.
