As a GSCS staff member, staying informed of new ways to hone your skills and enrich your knowledge is essential. The GSCS Professional Learning sessions aim to improve knowledge and skills to facilitate individual, schoolwide, and district-wide improvements to increase student achievement. Sessions may be offered in person at various sites and virtually.
GSCS Professional Learning Events
Our GSCS clerical staff began their learning adventure at the inaugural 2024 GSCS Clerical Academy! GSCS school and department office staff learned, laughed, and networked as they prepared for a new school year. They were welcomed by GSCS Superintendent Dr. Keith Simmons and participated in fun activities, a Q&A panel, and training classes in technology and human resources. Their adventure continued today with more fun activities, employee wellness with Dr. Ecclesia Savage, and professional learning from operations, finance, and more. Thank you to the sponsors and everyone who helped make this inaugural academy successful!

We are looking for dynamic session leaders to help our induction teachers pass the GACE exams. Session leaders must meet the following requirements:
At least five (5) years of teaching experience in-field
Experience leading PL sessions
GAPSC-certified
