A nation with no discrimination is known as a secular country. 'Indian' is not a religion but if we take it as a religion then we are again discriminating the people who are non-Indians.
The real meaning of religion is : Inherent constitutional characteristic that sustains one's existence". So, as a human being we should know our duties and act accordingly.
-Pratham Gupta St. Mark's School, Meera BaghThere are different ways to reach God and one of the ways is through religion. Different people belong to different religions but that does not mean that we will start discriminating them on the basis of their religion. Every religion has its own principles. Principles of some religion are opposite to those of others which is the main cause of conflict between people. If people of a nation continue fighting with each other then the nation will never develop. Several countries are trying to stop this discrimination. But that will not stop people from discriminating each other unless and until people come forward and join hands with people of other religion and take a vow that they will not discriminate again.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam , although was a Muslim, was appointed as the President of India. The broad -minded people of today are trying to bring an end to such discrimination. They are now understanding each other's beliefs. Inter-caste marriages are now acceptable.
There is a very famous quote by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam that touched my heart, it says,"For great men, religion is a way of making friends; small people make religion a fighting tool."We should embrace people of different religions.
In India, people of different religious faiths coexist peacefully .There is unity as we all believe in respecting each other's religious beliefs.
I believe that the only religion should be the religion of humanity.
-Pratham Gupta St. Mark's School, Meera BaghReligion has always been the beam of light guiding people on how to live their lives. People have different beliefs concerning to their religion. But these beliefs have often resulted in conflicts between people. All religions say that GOD IS ONE but people keep ignoring this. They avoid friendship with people of different religions . Also, marriage between two people of different religions is considered a sin. All these aspects bring out more enmity between people. These often result in honor killing which is a very popular case in many countries including India. With changing times, people in India have started realizing that unity among ourselves is very important. We celebrate festivals of different religions with equal and great enthusiasm . We have started accepting inter- caste marriages as well.
-Khushi M.St. Mark's School, Meera BaghReligion
‘Rivers, lakes, ponds, streams, they all have different names, but they all contain water. The same is the case with religion, they’ve different names, but the same essence.’ The above statement is true. We all follow different religions but none of them teaches us to be intolerant towards each other just because the religion that we follow are different religions we follow are different. None of the religion teaches us to hate others. All the religions preach us human values, the spirit of peace and love for all. This intolerance has specially grown in India where religious fights have become breaking news of everyday. All zealots are constantly fighting to prove the superiority of their own religion. But when did the Indians become the saffron (Hinduism) and green (Islam) of the flag; weren’t we all about the white (Peace) In between? The same is the case with different countries. But we all need to realize that God is one, the difference just lies in the name by which we know him. Hence, we all to forget our religious differences. We all need to understand that, we all our children of one God and we will soon succeed in making a flabbergasting world.

Religious separation is treating people contrastingly in their business on account of their religion, their religious convictions and hones, as well as their demand for settlement (an adjustment in a work environment run or strategy) of their religious convictions and practices. It likewise incorporates treating people contrastingly in their business on account of their absence of religious conviction or practice. The law ensures not just individuals who have a place with conventional composed religions, for example, the Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or different beliefs, yet all individuals who have truly held religious, moral, or good convictions. On the off chance that you have been rejected for work, let go, annoyed or generally hurt in your business in view of your religion, your religious convictions and hones, as well as your demand for settlement of your religious convictions and practices, you may have endured unlawful religious segregation.
A few specialists encountering religious separation may likewise encounter different types of unlawful segregation, for example, national cause segregation, migration/citizenship status segregation, as well as race separation. There are ordinarily three principle types of religious separation in the work environment: (1) business choices in view of religious inclination (2) provocation in light of religious inclinations and; (3) neglecting to sensibly oblige religious practices. A few cases of conceivably unlawful religious segregation are:
Enlisting/terminating/advancement: This sort of separation involves settling on business choices in light of somebody's confidence, or deficiency in that department. This could be declining to procure a worker since he or she is a Seventh-Day Adventist or Orthodox Jew and watches a Saturday Sabbath; terminating a representative after he or she misses work to watch a religious occasion; advancing a worker just on the off chance that she will go to chapel routinely; exchanging a representative to a situation with less open contact since he is a Rastafarian who wears dreadlocks; not giving a worker a raise until the point that he quits talking about religious convictions with different workers amid available time, for example, breaks or lunch.
Badgering: Harassing people because of their religion can incorporate ridiculing representatives or disclosing to them they are damaging the organization's clothing regulation since they wear religious attire, for example, yarmulkes, turbans, or hijabs (head scarves); more than once taunting a man as a result of his or her solid, Christian convictions; scorning a Muslim worker for rejecting pork at an organization outing; attempting endeavors over and over to "spare the spirit" of a kindred representative who is a nonbeliever.
Inability to suit: Denial of religious convenience is the most well-known type of working environment religious separation. This kind of segregation can incorporate requiring a worker to chip away at his Sunday Sabbath, despite the fact that different representatives will exchange shifts with him; constraining a worker to evacuate her hijab (scarf) to agree to the organization's clothing standard despite the fact that different representatives wear baseball tops at work; not enabling representatives to show religious symbols or different articulations of religious confidence in their work spaces, in spite of the fact that representatives are permitted to show different sorts of individual things.
Religion-based EEOC segregation cases have essentially expanded as of late. Somewhere in the range of 1997 and 2015, religion-based cases have ascended by 41%, and payouts have expanded roughly 174%. In the event that any of these things have transpired at work, you may have endured illicit religious segregation.

Religious discrimination means treating a person or group because of the beliefs they hold about religion. It can be of two types:direct and indirect. Direct Discrimination is to treat someone unfairly because of his/her religion or beliefs. Indirect discrimination is when there is a policy, practice or rule which applies to everybody in the same way but personally places someone in disadvantage.
India itself has people following many religions which include Hinduism, Christianity, Sikhism, Islam, Buddhism, etc. It's we humans who have made religions, not God. In my opinion it isn't the religion of the person that matters but his/her behavior and personality.
-Khushleen KaurSt. Mark's School,Meera BaghReligion may be defined as a cultural system of designated behaviour and practices , texts , sanctified places etc. Different religion may contain various elements like faith , rituals , sacred things , beliefs etc. Religious practice may include festivals , culture , and much more . It has many religious symbols .
Earlier , there were many instances of religious differences . People of different faith were against each other but as people are getting educated , they have become aware that these differences really do not matter . All are equal . No matter what people are accepting inter-caste and inter-religion marriages .
Religion's true meaning is '' Unity in Diversity ''

I want to move to a new world,
A world where all are equal ,
With no boundaries of man made nations
A world where no one is black or white,
With no existence of female feticide
A world with opportunities,
And no stress on disabilities
A world where religion of love is followed,
And social justice with equality is bowed
A world where colour of blood is red,
Without the feeling of dread
A world full of peace and humanity,
Calmness , happiness is its real entity.
