KULACHI HANSRAJ MODEL SCHOOL Recently inducted an event ‘Donate an umbrella and gift a smile’ by ELAN CLUB on 20.8.18 . The children had to donate an umbrella for the labourers of the school, which gave happiness to the labourers as well as the students. The objective of the activity was to make students responsible for the society to empower them with social responsibility skills, make students aware about the needs of others in society, encourage them to take up responsibility for the other sections of the society, imbibe the kindness as a virtue among the student. The activity was carried out under the Élan Club in association with Project Education where in students initiated a project of the let an umbrella is your smile. The students of class seventh and eighth carried out the activity and encouraged their fellow mates to donate an umbrella for the workers in our school from premises. The students collected the umbrella from grade 7th and 8th. The umbrellas were distributed in the morning assembly in the presence of Principal Mrs Sneh Verma. Principal encouraged and appreciated the efforts of student. The workers and ladies in the schools working effortlessly for cleanliness and sanitation of students were happy to receive gifts of gratitude in the monsoon season. ‘Kindness as a virtue was practised by students by taking up the responsibility of the society ‘The umbrellas were donated by class seventh and eighth. The event received an extremely positive outcome. The students were able to realise this significant role in taking the responsibility of the society and two words the list village section of society.
