The folk lores and folktales have been an eternal part of every culture since ages. A folk tale is a story or legend forming part of an oral tradition. Folktales are generally passed down from one generation to another and often take on the characteristics of the time and place in which they are told.They are part myth, part fable, and part fairy tales. Talking animals appear in many European folktales. For example, “The Three Little Pigs” and “Little Red Riding Hood”.In India "Panchtantra Tales" are very famous.In folktales there is usually conflict between good and evil with good usually being rewarded and evil being punished. Often, the purpose of these stories is to teach a lesson or to describe characteristics of one's culture.Let's read a few stories!
