It doesn't take much time and energy to integrate service-learning projects into our curriculum and our observation is that these projects do wonders to the students. At St. Mark's School, Meera Bagh, we always begin with a short project. We believe in just starting small and letting it grow. We have also realised that these projects create the type of children who know they can make a difference in the world. We make sure that students volunteer their services. The very young students of our school start with collecting goodies in all forms-chocolates, biscuits or even donating clothes especially woolen clothes during winters. As they grow up, they start doing other forms of community service, which not only make them feel good but also bring a difference in the world.
