In the past six months, I’ve learned a lot. My English typing has become faster. I have learned more English words and also made many good friends here. Especially when we had video conference with the Indian team, I felt very excited. It’s my first time to chat with foreigners online. I’m very happy and honored to be able to participate in GVC. Thank you teachers and thanks GVC.

I want to thank my GVC teachers. When I was in trouble, they taught me patiently. And I was very grateful to my classmates, too. Thanks for always doing GVC homework with me. They taught me a lot. By participating in GVC, I also know more about foreign people and foreign culture. I was very busy after I went to GVC, but my life is also more fulfilling. Thanks to all GVC teachers for giving me such a good chance.

By encouragement of the school teachers, I took part in the international collaborative learning project GVC. We tried to do our best to gain the honor for our school during the process.

Then, we discussed the topic by group discussion. Some of us were in charge of the social media in Taiwan; some took charge of summarizing the merits and demerits of social media by Word and PowerPoint. At the end, we feel so fulfilled when we see our work on the webpages.

I am thankful for the competition held by GVC, because this is my first time to communicate with foreigners, as well as to write articles in English. I had a profound memory and learned more knowledge in the process. I hope to improve my English in the learning activities. I am also thankful to my GVC team teachers for guiding us to overcome the difficulties and finish the challenges. Thank you all for the help.

During the past six months in GVC, I founded my English typing speed became faster and I also made more new friends. By doing the project reports, I had a deeper understanding about social media by inquiring information. Each time I log into Edmodo, I can see new English messages that make me to search for information and think slowly about the Chinese meaning and English grammar. Therefore, my English ability also gets better and better. In the process, the video conference with the team India is really exciting and nervous, because this is my first to have face-to-face conversation with foreigners. Now all my tasks has come to an end, I really learned a lot of things in the past months. It’s also a great accomplishment for me to complete the tasks. I am really happy to join GVC.

Although I joined GVC only for a short period of six months, I learned a lot of things in the past 6 months. I learned how to use Powerpoint more efficiently and I type faster than ever! The most important thing is that I learned a lot of new English words. During this period, I felt it’s very interesting to work together with my team members and draw posters. Besides, I was so happy and nervous about the video conference with the team India. I felt so accomplished and satisfied when I finished my homework.

I learn a lot of things from GVC. During the process, I met a lot of new friends, especially in the skype session with team India. This is the first time I had a on-line chat with foreign friends. I really cherished this fun experience, so I was active in communicating with them.

At first, I didn’t know much details about GVC. But later I found out it takes up to 5 months and needs patience to finish it. Our theme this year is “Social Media”. This topic is not an easy one at all and I am not good at drawing, so it is a bit difficult for me to do my assignments.

I am honored to be able to participate in this international exchange activities. Although I encountered a lot of setbacks and difficulties during the process, I did not give up. During this period, I studied this topic very hard, and I learned more about social media and had a broader perspective about the topic. In the future, I hope there will be another opportunity for me to participate in similar activities to enhance my knowledge.

I have learned a lot in GVC for six months. I was very excited and looking forward to talking with Indian teammates by Skype. I was very nervous because this was the first time that I could chat with foreigners. I hope I can participate in GVC again.

I think GVC makes my computer skills better and better. Also I met many good friends here. Especially when we had video conference with team India, I was so nervous and excited. When I finished a poster about the future trend of social media, I felt a great sense of accomplishment. We also made other posters, computer files and videos. When we made videos, we repeated many times to shoot again and again until it’s perfect. I felt so happy and fulfilled, when it's done.

When I first came to GVC, I thought I would study some boring lessons again. But soon I found out that’s not boring, but also I had opportunities to have video conference with the teammates in India. With these opportunities, I met many good friends to work together and complete each assignment. In GVC, I learned a lot of related knowledge about social media. Always new things came up and made me learn more. This is my first time to join in GVC and maybe also the last time.

In the past six months, I have done a lot of meaningful things. I even danced to a friend in India. The video at the time really made me nervous and excited.

During the six months in GVC, I learned a lot of knowledge, including the strength and weakness of social media and English language. We also learned to use a software,Edmodo, which is a little similar to Facebook. Every time I open Edmodo, I see many posts from India! We also had a video conference with the India team. In the process, we learned some more India's culture and made friends with them! Unfortunately, we can only did our work in a few months, otherwise our works of GVC will be better and more interesting!

Also I learned some knowledge about social media, including using social media for teaching, the advantages and disadvantages of using social media.Through video conferen with other GVC teammates from foreign countries, I could feel the international friendship. Each time I open Edmodo, I always see many new posts from other countries. From this experience, it let me grow and learn so much knowledge.

When I knew that I was selected as a member of GVC ,I was very surprised. My stereotype of GVC was chatting with foreigners via Skype. However,it was not that simple.It is actually a global webpage-designed competition.Best of all, I had a new experience during this time and my ability of English typing had also improved.Thanks to school for giving me the opportunity to join GVC.

ST. MARK'S SR. SECONDARY PUBLIC SCHOOL

GVC is a great platform which is an online way of acquiring knowledge. The thoughts of the youngsters on the topic are presented through both visual and written way. The Skype Session has helped us to know about Taiwan as well. It's a pleasure to be a part of it. I really enjoyed the project. The things that are going on in our day-to-day lives had to be kept in mind. This was a wonderful experience for me.

Global Virtual Classroom competition has been an amazing learning experience for me. Working with people from all walks of life, especially those from different countries, collaborating and teaming up with them in gathering information and discussing key points have definitely opened my eyes to a new world.It was also great to get the opportunity to have an intellectual intercourse and exchange ideas and views with my virtual colleagues to get a different perspective of things.

It was an amazing experience while working with our global friends. It took me on a learning spree. I usually thought that social media is good and useful to us but this platform has made me aware of the dark side of social media as well. Edmodo is a nice platform wherein people can share their thoughts. Some students are the part of GVC who are responsible and obedient but everyone should get a chance and be a member of GVC so that they too get to know people in other countries and share their thoughts . in this way they too can become smart and responsible students.
