Our Traditions and Culture
The Definition of Cultural Heritage
Cultural Heritage is a way of life passed down from generation to generation. Things like places, objects, and customs are all types of cultural heritage. Cultural Heritage is split into 3 categories: tangible culture, intangible culture and natural heritage. Examples of tangible culture are buildings, books, monuments, landscapes and art. Examples of Intangible Culture are traditions, language and even knowledge. Some Examples of Natural Heritage are landscapes and the diversity of plant and animal species in a particular region or habitat (a.k.a. biodiversity).
