STEREOTYPES
It is hard being a woman in such a type of society, in which whatever you say or do is criticized. Stereotype is a belief that men and women should perform the roles in a certain way just because they are Male and female. Stereotypes can be both positive and negative for example - "women are nurturing" or "women are weak". Women getting less job opportunities, freedom, education etc. are all a consequence of stereotyping them. The stereotyping starts from our homes itself, we have stereotypes that "Pink is for girls" and "Blue is for boys" and we need to start changing that just like Mahatma Gandhi said "Be the change you wish to see in the world " and that change we need to start from our homes. In our friend circles, a boy standing in between girls is recognized as a 'stud' whereas a girl standing in between boys is recognized as a 'whore'. In our day to day life we hear cliches like men should not cry, women should look pretty and presentable, and what not. But why don't we understand that all human beings are born equal and should have the full right to live in freedom and with dignity whether they are Male or female and that everything a man can do,a woman can do too or vice versa.

WHAT IS STEREOTYPING?
When we form a prior fixed idea or image about certain people, we are stereotyping them. It is a false believe formed by some people. The family or society prescribes. EXAMPLES-
- Girls are encouraged to stay at homes and play indoor games and sometimes not even allowed to talk to boys where as boys are encouraged to play outdoor games. But this old thought is changing now, there are many girls who have won awards in games like cricket, badminton etc. For example: Pusarla Ventaka Sindhu known as PV Sindhu who is the first Indian to win a silver medal in Rio Olympics.
- In childhood girls are given dolls to play and boys are given cars to play. If a boy plays with a doll, he is made fun by his peers.
- Girls are not usually allowed to assert themselves whereas a male child is taught from their childhood to be assertive.
- It is taught to girls from their childhood that some jobs are only meant for males. Boys are encouraged to do jobs like being a police officer or a soldier and astronaut whereas girls are encouraged to be a nurse, teachers, etc. Thus, girls are not encouraged to do jobs of bravery, they are not even allowed to work late night like boy. But now this is also changing like Valentina Tereshkova was the first women to enter space. This time in the Republic Day Parade of India, the parade was being led by a lady soldier named Tania Shergill.
- Most narrow- minded people think that girls are only meant for housekeeping jobs it would be shameful if boys do such jobs. But now in countries like China both men and women are equally involved in household work and therefore their social status is also equal.

Gender InequalIty
Gender means men and women are not equal and that gender affects an individual's living experience. These differences arise from distinctions in biology, psychology, and cultural norms. Some of these distinctions are empirically grounded while others appear to be socially constructed.
Women and girls represent half of the worldโs population and, therefore, also half of its potential. Gender equality, besides being a fundamental human right, it is essential to achieve peaceful societies, with full human potential and sustainable developments. Moreover, it has been shown that empowering women spurs productivity and economic growth. Unfortunately, there is still a long way to go to achieve full equality of rights and opportunities between men and women.
Nowadays, the paradox that makes women suffer adversities and put women into unpleasant situation is seen in every angle and every time in life. However, the method of gender discrimination in one place differs from that of other. For example, in workplace gender inequality rises when women enter the job race, not only they are discriminated on salary basis, but inequality at work is demonstrated through the differences between genders and the amount of money paid to them.
Since its independence, India has made significant efforts and had put a lot of finance of the country in addressing gender inequalities, especially in the areas of political participation, education, and legal rights. Policies and reforms to address gender inequalities have been pursued by the government of India. For instance, the Constitution of India contains a clause guaranteeing the right of equality and freedom from sexual discrimination India is also signatory to the Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, or CEDAW.
There are also many women who have overcome the problem and difficulties in their life and have achieved their goals and not only women people like: Manabi Bandyopadh who became the professor and first transgender person in India who has completed Doctor of Philosophy, Rajni Pandit became the first women detective of India and has solved 80000 cases, Kamlesh Kumari became the first women to be awarded the Ashok Chakra, and like this there are many more cases of women in which they are at par or above males.
Hope this practice of Gender Inequality would be removed from the societyโฆโฆ.

StereotypIng
There are many differences between men and women. To some extent, these are captured in the stereotypical images of these groups. Stereotypes about the way men and women think and behave are widely shared. However, stereotypical expectations not only reflect existing differences, but also impact the way men and women define themselves and aretreated by others. These article reviews evidences and content of gender stereotypes and considers how these relate to gender differences. Empirical studies show that gender stereotypes affect the way people attend to, interpret, and remember information about themselves and others. Considering the cognitive and motivational functions of gender stereotypes helps us to understand their impact on unspoken beliefs and communications about men and women. No matter who you are or what group you belong to, you should never allow yourself to be subjected to stereotypes or believe you are lesser because of what someone says about you. Stereotypes pertain to many people and you certainly have the support of those who face There is ample evidence to suggest that negative expectations and stereotypes about the same favor. You are not alone. You are a person, not a caricature! competence of older adults overcome Western culture For example, older adults are characterized as more forgetful and less able to learn new information
