Prof. Yu-chen Liu is the Assistant Professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan. Prior to the position, Prof. Liu was the Project Assistant Professor at Department of Materials Science and Engineering, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan.
Major in Materials Science and Engineering, Prof. Liu received his Bachelor degree at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, in 2014 and directly applied for doctorate degree program at NCKU with an honorary fellowship. Prof. Liu received his Ph.D degree in 2019. During his Ph.D program, he has been a visiting scholar in Osaka University, Japan, and that in University of Wisconsin-Madison, United States.
Prof. Liu has successfully developed a novel characterization for in situ current stressing experiments, including in situ scanning electron microscopic, in situ synchrotron radiation-based X-ray diffraction, and in situ nano-indentation. Prof. Liu is also familiar with Ab initio calculation, CALculation of PHAse Diagram (CALPHAD) method, and machine learning.
