Exploring the Potential and Effective Use of Piezoelectric Devices in Schools
To explore eco-friendly methods of electricity generation and reduce carbon emissions, we investigated the potential of piezoelectric devices, which generate electricity when pressure is applied. In our experiment, a single piezoelectric element produced between 0.04V and 0.06V—equivalent to about 0.026 dry cell batteries. Although we tried to generate usable electricity with our prototype device, the study showed that piezoelectric elements can produce small amounts of power. We aim to improve the device design and explore ways to utilize even minimal energy outputs in school settings for sustainable applications.
We Make long-Lasting Sparkler in the World
We conducted an experiment to find ways to extend the burning time of sparklers.By analyzing the relationship between burning time and the amount of gunpowder,we found that increasing the amount of gunpowder increases the burning time as long as the spark ball does not fall.We also created sparklers with different ratios of gunpowder. We think the optimal ratio of gunpowder for sparklers is Carbon:Saltpeter:Sulfur=25:25:50.While we aimed to make long-lasting sparklers,we realized that the short burning time of around one minute may be the charm of sparklers.
How to Improve Student’s Digital Literacy
This study explores how to improve students' digital literacy, a vital skill in today's information society. Using data from the government’s ILAS survey, we found that many first-year Japanese high school students struggle to identify online scams and protect personal information, such as passwords. These issues suggest that digital literacy among students is low, partly due to shortcomings in Japan’s digital education system. So, we plan to create and distribute booklets that teach students how to improve their digital skills.
Aim to Create Next Generation Drone
Aim to create next generation drone. The experiment that an organ for transplant was carried out by drone was in the US.From the experiment,we think we can carry medicines easily by using drones to disaster areas when we have an emergency such as an earthquake, typhoon and so on.From a government site,we must clear some rules to carry medicines.Such as we must keep low tempreature around medicines when we carry,we must suppress shaking while carrying. From these information,we collected data affecting medicines first.Second,we did an experiment on what a burden`s shape is the best for medicine to suppress from shaking while these are carried. Finally,we contrasted many types of medicine`s circumstances and collecting dates and knowing the shape is the really best or not. From the first experiment,we knew that the drone can carry under 20 grams. From the second,a burden that has a square shape is the best. Frome the last one,the shape can suppress the effect from shaking more than when we shake it directly. From these pursuits, the flight is the most stable when the burden was placed on the top of a drone. We can fill in most of the conditions to carry medicines with a drone when we use square shape. Otherwise,we want to try the situation when the medicine is a liquid or melt but the school`s facility so we want to do it,if we have a chance.
Study on Sunlight Controlling Curtains for Comfortable Room Temperature
To help with temperature management without using electricity for a comfortable environment, we paid attention to the curtain’s color. Therefore, using a model of a room, examine the color of the curtains and the temperature change in the room. According to this experiment, the temperature changes and the speed at which temperature reaches maximum depends on the color of curtains. In other words, each color absorbs heat differently. For this reason we recommend paying attention to the curtains for an eco-friendly and comfortable life.
How Can We Improve Japanese English Education?
We have been searching for Japanese English education. There is a big gap between Japan and Korea. Even though Korea is one of the countries which have similar giology points to Japan. In our study, more than half Korean high school students feel English class is easy, because balmost all of them have started learning English since they were small. In an interview with ISA,a staff member told us only English skills but also dicussion skills are also necessary.
Slove Bamboo Problem by Making Bamboo Paper
We aimed to make paper from bamboo to solve Japan’s abandoned bamboo problem. By mixing bamboo with milk carton pulp, we succeeded in making paper. However, the bamboo ratio was low, so we plan to improve fiber quality and increase bamboo content in future experiments.
Suggestion for Preparing for "Massive Earthquake" in Tsurugaya
This study explores dangerous places in Tsurugaya and creates a hazard map that is written about an evacuation route and dangerous area.We research the damage in 3.11 ,population distribution and look for dangerous areas in tsurugaya. The results showed that there were a lot of dangerous elements when the earthquake occurred. For example,The elderly account for 37 percent of the population and dangerous areas are the same as those damaged in 3.11. In this study, hazard maps can be created with the information obtained and distributed to local schools so that local residents can prepare for disasters.
The Method Of New Communication
It is important for us to use gestures and facial expressions to communicate smoothly with foreign people. This method is called Nonverbal communication. We learn gestures from other countries through our investigation, and we understand that gestures are different between Japan and other countries, so there is a possibility of misunderstanding each other. Therefore, we leran we should understand the differences between Japan and other countris, and then we decided to tell people what we found to prevent misunderstanding between Japanese and foreign people.
What Can We Do to Solve the Problem of Ocean Pollution?
In order to address the ocean plastic pollution problem, which is currently a serious issue, this study was conducted with the aim of raising awareness and generating interest in the crisis. To achieve this, we carried out awareness-raising activities such as fieldwork to learn about the current situation and visits to elementary schools to educate the next generation. In addition, we were able to build various networks through planning and organizing a symposium and creating a platform to speak about the ocean plastic pollution problem. I realized that even high school students can contribute to changing society in meaningful ways.
