Course Description
World Humanities is a semester long course that examines cultural developments in western societies during the late Middle Ages that contributed to the transition from a feudal society to a more modern and diverse society. Students will also examine the characteristics of a modern civilization and the factors that allow certain societies to thrive while others struggle to keep pace in a rapidly changing world.

Course Materials
The textbook for Foundations is called, Modern World History - Patterns of Interaction. Students will be given a code to download it through Ibooks. Hard cover texts are available in the library but they are an earlier addition and not exactly the same as the online version.
Assessments/Grading
Summative - 90%
Formative - 10%
Google Classroom
Most assignments and class announcements will be distributed in Google Classroom.
Technology
This is class is semi-paperless. This means assignments and information will be disseminated through google classroom. However, most formative and summative assessments will be turned in on paper. It is up to the student to print the documents. Computers and phones should only be used when educational appropriate.
Class Expectations
Be where you are supposed to be, when you are supposed to be there. Do what you are supposed to do and do it to the best of your ability.
