The Green River Regional Autism Team was established in 2001 in order to address the increasing needs of professionals working with children with autism for the southern seventeen districts. In January, 2010 the Green River Regional Autism Team was revised to include professional teams from each of the seventeen districts in the southern portion of the region. In 2012, The Green River Regional Autism Team was revised to include all thirty-five districts of GRREC.
Purpose
To build capacity within the GRREC region in the area of autism.
To define a communication conduit for disseminating current information related to autism within the districts.
To bring high caliber training to the region in a cost-effective manner.
To establish a group of leaders within the region who can support districts in the provision of services to autistic youth.
