When a community grows together, children thrive.
The infant program is designed for children 8 weeks to 12 months and not walking.
Parents must supply diapers and wipes for their child. Parents are welcome to bring large amounts of these items, and staff will notify parents when supply is low.
Personal items are labeled for each child, kept in their own area, washed and sanitized after each use.
Children are allowed to nap when they are tired and eat when they are hungry.
Children will be held when taking bottles and placed in their crib when sleeping. No child will be left in a swing, bouncer or on the floor to sleep. Bottles will not be propped.
Parents are to provide formula or breast milk for their child. Breastfeeding mothers are encouraged to nurse their child at any time. All breast milk must be marked with DATE, AMOUNT, and NAME.
For infants transitioning to purees or solids, food will need to be provided by the parents. A plan will be made between the parents and teacher on how best to transition the child.
Parents will receive daily information on Brightwheel pertaining to their child’s eating habits, nap times, supplies needed, etc.
A research-based curriculum is used to provide developmentally appropriate activities for each child. This allows parents and staff to observe and assess appropriate developmental milestones.
For a child to be considered ready to move to the next classroom, they need to be walking, 12 months old, and no longer using formula.
