What is SPS ?
If you want to check out our home page you can do so by clicking on the home tab of the website. SPS stands for the Society of Physics students and is a national organization with a myriad of institutions participating in this. We are the ACU chapter of SPS and is run by our students with faculty advising our events and outreach programs.
How do I join the ACU chapter of SPS?
Easily! Just send an email to the email address in the footnote of the website with information on how to join! Additionally, you can contact any current officer or faculty sponsor as well.
Does joining really make a difference?
That depends entirely on you actually. Every SPS chapter across the country is run by students and solely relies on student participation. Pursuing a degree in STEM is not an easy feat and can sometimes ail your overall experience as an undergrad in physics and a student at ACU. SPS provides an outlet where you meet other people who feel the same way about STEM and can grow professionally while also having fun.
Once I join, how do I become an officer?
You can become an officer in our chapter by being active as a member, showing up to the meetings, and having an unequivocal joy for physics.
