Ben is a fourth year medical physics major here at ACU and the current president of our chapter. From the far land of Decatur, Texas, he likes to speed around Abilene when going anywhere. His past research includes working on a Magnetic Optical Trap at ACU and his current project entails working with a group on dose accumulation on the MRI-Linacc at M.D. Anderson.
Beth is a second year physics major with a minor in math and the current vice president of our chapter. Some of her favorite activities include hiding stuff in ceilings and attempting to not pull all-nighters. Her research experience includes going to Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and assisting preparations for experiment 1039/SpinQuest.
Nate is a third year physics major with a concentration in engineering and the current treasurer of our chapter. His current office space is perfect for studying, shooting people with nerf guns, and has a great couch for naps. His past research includes working with the Nuclear Energy eXperimental Testing group at ACU doing computational fluid analysis and going to Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. His trips to Fermi Lab consisted of helping the end of experiment 906/SeaQuest and the beginning of experiment 1039/SpinQuest.
Josh is a second year physics major and the current secretary for our chapter. He is from Denton, Texas and loves talking about science, futuristic technologies, and anything having to do with space. Additionally, he likes to play spike ball and rummage around the library.
Keaton is a third year math and physics major with a concentration in engineering and our current chaplain. He never gets cold. Ever. It can be 40 degrees outside and he is out wearing shorts and sandals. The fact that he is from California makes this even more insane. His past research includes working on a cosmic ray stand here at ACU that benefited detectors at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He is currently working for the Nuclear Energy eXperimental Testing group.
Josh Murphy is a third year physics student with a math minor and our current Historian. He is very much a believer of the motto "If you do it last minute, you can do it in a minute". Previous project experience includes traveling to Honduras to construct latrines for the local impoverished community.
