The Engineering & Physics department at ACU has sent students to Los Alamos National Lab almost every summer to do research concerning hardware or analysis. ACU's involvement with LANL includes the Neutron Induced Fission Fragment Tracking Experiment (NIFFTE) . SPS provides the platform for such opportunities to be communicated with students to ameliorate awareness. Currently, Dr. Donald Isenhower (former faculty sponsor) is ACU's representative at NIFFTE.
