Summer Assignment: Capstone Community Service

DIRECTIONS

This coming school year, it's very important to keep up with Capstone responsibilities. And what better time than summer to catch up on the VOG area of Engaged Citizen! Your assignment for the summer is to volunteer for activities that you can count toward your community service obligation for Capstone. 

Rationale: Being an Engaged Citizen ties into the habit of mind of learning continuously. When you engage in community service, you demonstrate leadership skills, act empathically, and develop confidence in your abilities to try new things.  You are expected to continue to work on your community service hours over the summer.
