Meet Mrs. Laug

Hello! My name is Nikki Laug and I am the School Counselor for Davis Elementary. This is my first year at Davis and I am excited to meet our students and families.

I am originally from Atkins, IA, and have lived in Grinnell for the past five years. I attended Iowa State University where I earned a bachelor's degree in Child, Adult, and Family Services. After several years working in victim advocacy I knew I had a passion for working with children and their families. I continued my education at Drake University and graduated with a Masters in School Counseling. I am excited to be a part of the Davis team and to work closely with our students and their families.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my husband Adam. Our three children attend school in Grinnell; Harrison in 8th grade, Vance in 5th, and Macy is a 4th grader this year. I love to travel (my favorite trip was to Iceland), read historical fiction and fantasy novels, spend time at the lake or pool, run, and spend time with our animals.
