Current Status:

Designs Collaborative Spaces

• Provides digital resources via school library websites

• Arrangement of school libraries in a way that makes sense for the user

• • Biography collections moved to topic areas in both buildings

  • MS/HS fiction collection was genrefied in 2021. Ease of use was increased for middle/high school students as a result of this project.

• Flexible seating in both buildings

  • Use of Title IVA dollars for the addition of bike desks and pedals, moveable tables, accordion chairs, etc.

• Scheduling is building specific

  • Grades 4K-1: fixed class schedule, including check out

  • Grades 2-6: fixed book check out schedule, flexible instruction

  • Grades 7-12: flexible book check out and instruction

Areas for Growth: 

• Explore genrefying the elementary fiction collection

• Identify ways to bring more classes to the library for regular class instruction
